FCB ANNOUNCES AGENCY ACQUISITIONS IN FRANCE AND KOREA

FCB Worldwide has expanded its global agency network with the acquisitions of Acam in France and Hahnin in Korea. Financial details were not disclosed. Paris-based Acam is a proximity advertising organization with offices in Marseilles, Lille, Rennes, Toulouse and Lyon. Its account roster includes food retailer Carrefour, direct mail distributor Mediaposte and leisure and handcraft goods chain Loisirs et Creations. The agency will be renamed FCB/Acam. Didier Stora, executive vice president of FCB/France, will head FCB/Acam as president. FCB's purchase of Hahnin increases its size in the Korean market. Hahnin's client roster includes fashion, household appliance construction and securities companies such as Kolon, Web-2-Phone and Han-dok. The agency will be renamed FCB Hahnin. K.S. Cho, currently president of FCB in Korea, will head FCB Hahnin. He will be joined by executive vice president Guy Gostling, previously general manager at FCB Korea.
