YFACTOR OFFERS PRO BONO SERVICES TO CHARITIES
By Adnews Staff
Yfactor, based in Brampton, Ontario, has created a program called YCommunityCares to handle pro bono work. Canadian non-profit and charitable organizations can submit requests for a professionally designed Web site. Anya Colussi, president of Yfactor, said the program grew from the completion of a similar assignment for the Adoption Council of Canada this past year. Organizations can visit <http://www.yfactor.com> and click on the Community section under "Who We Are" to submit their information. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2001. One organization will be chosen every year. The creation and development of each site is expected to take eight or nine months, Colussi said. Yfactor develops Web sites, intranets, extranets and online strategies for clients including Magna International, Cedara Software, Alcan Aluminum, Family and Teletoon.
