COURSE TO RUN IN B.C.

Newbridge Networks Corp. of Kanata, Ont. is setting up training programs in B.C. to teach business and marketing skills to managers of high-tech companies. Newbridge is also negotiating with the University of B.C. to establish the Pacific Institute of Technology Management, which would draw on UBC's commerce, science and engineering faculties to provide more specialized courses for senior personnel in high-tech companies. The first course will begin in March. Managers will get three days a month of instruction and interaction for eight months. The program is run by Newbridge and the Certified Advanced Technology Association.
