ENVIRONICS IN SEVENTH HEAVEN

Environics Communications has been appointed North American public relations agency-of-record for Toronto-based Stuart Energy Systems. Environics was awarded the account after the company met with two additional agencies. Previously PR activities were handled in-house. The appointment of Environics marks the first AOR for Stuart Energy, which specializes in hydrogen generation and supply systems. The account win coincides with the agency's six year anniversary in November. Environics president Bruce MacLellan said the agency is considering opening a second U.S. office as it enters its seventh year of operations. Currently Environics, with annual income of $7.5 million, operates offices in Toronto, Montreal and Stamford, Connecticut. Although MacLellan would not say where the agency is considering opening the second U.S. office, he did say the location would be driven by client need. Environics will also continue to focus on the advanced technology, financial services, e-commerce and health care sectors, MacLellan said.
