DRAFTWORLDWIDE ACQUIRES CLOUSEAU

Chicago-based DraftWorldwide has strengthened its presence in the Spanish market following the acquisition of Clouseau S.L., an integrated marketing agency based in Barcelona, Spain. Financial details were not disclosed. Clouseau was founded in 1997 by Joan Asensio, managing director and Francisco Segarra, creative director. The two previously worked together at Vinizius Young & Rubicam, also of Barcelona. They will continue to head up the agency in their respective roles. Clouseau has a staff of 16 and counts Yamaha, DBnet24, Daikin, Asisa, Pirelli, Media Park and Fira of Barcelona among its account roster. No client conflicts have arisen as a result of the acquisition. DraftWorldwide, a unit of The Interpublic Group of Companies, has offices in 26 countries. It first entered the Spanish market in 1997 with the acquisition of an agency in Madrid.
