FAMILY CHANNEL, FORD, COMPAQ, KERNELS TAKE FUNSHINE TOUR

Toronto-based Family Channel has teamed up with Ford of Canada, Compaq Canada and Kernels Popcorn in two FunShine summer promotions. The FunShine national summer tour is an annual event in which the FunShine tour visits events and locations across the country offering games, prizes, giveaways and family activities in two customized tents. Ford, returning as a sponsor of the tour for a second year, is joined by Compaq Canada and Kernels Popcorn this year. The Family FunShine on-air contest broke July 3 and runs until August 25. To enter, viewers tune in to the eight o'clock Family movie on Friday nights to spot a special FunShine Contest logo, noting the time and the name of the movie the logo appeared in. Entries can be submitted online at <http://www.family.ca> or by ballot at any participating Kernels Popcorn store or FunShine Tour location. Grand prize is a 2000 Ford Windstar. First prize winners will receive one of five Compaq Presario Internet PCs and second prize winners will receive a family size Kernels Popcorn prize pack. Supporting both the FunShine Tour and FunShine contest is on-air spots. Contest promotional spots are running eight times a day to provide contest details and FunShine Tour promotional spots are running six times a day to inform viewers of upcoming tour events. The spots were created in-house by Family Channel and produced by Toronto-based Triangle Studios.
