MOOSEHEAD BREWERIES OFFERING ONTARIO RESIDENTS "A REFRESHING CHANGE"

Moosehead Breweries of Saint John, New Brunswick has launched a new advertising campaign supporting its premium Moosehead beer. The campaign theme offers residents in South Western Ontario, Ottawa, Kitchener-Waterloo, London and Windsor "a refreshing change." Advertising, targeting domestic beer drinkers 25-45 years, broke earlier this month with a series of four billboard and print ads from Toronto-based TBWA Chiat/Day. Steven Poirier, vice president of sales and marketing for Moosehead said the brewery launched the campaign in the Ontario communities because Moosehead is currently experiencing significant growth in the market and because the province is one of the fastest growing markets of premium beer drinkers. The ads feature unusual product shots and a forest green background, playing on the green bottles Moosehead beer is distributed in. The campaign is scheduled to run through the fall.
