FUJI, WAL-MART AND BLUE JAYS SMILE FOR NATIONAL CONTEST
By Adnews Staff
Fuji Photo Film Canada, based in Mississauga, Ontario, has teamed up with Wal-Mart and the Toronto Blue Jays to make a dream come true for one Canadian baseball fan. The three are holding a national contest that will award one Canadian baseball fan the chance to throw the first pitch at a Blue Jays baseball game on July 23. That day has been dubbed Fuji Instax Photo Day. In addition to the contest winner's pitch, 5,000 fans will be allowed onto the field to take their own team photos of the Blue Jays. Canadians can enter the contest at Wal-Mart stores. Throughout June and July, the new Blue Jay mascots, Ace and Diamond, will be making appearances at Wal-Mart stores in the Greater Toronto area to pose for pictures with customers, who will also see a demonstration of Fuji's instant camera, the Instax 100. The in-store events are being promoted through local papers and the contest is being supported with in-store materials and ballot boxes. Public relations for Fuji are handled by Apex Public Relations of Toronto.
