CHARLES SCHWAB REVIEWING AGENCIES
By Adnews Staff
Charles Schwab Canada is in the midst of reviewing its advertising account, according to a report in the National Post. Currently the business is handled by Mosaic Direct & Interactive of Toronto. CEO Paul Bates said the company is considering splitting the account among several agencies, looking for shops with experience in print advertising as well as Web advertising and branch level merchandising. The review has been in progress for the pass two months with incumbent Mosaic Direct & Interactive said to be participating. The agency has been working on the account since Charles Schwab entered the Canadian market early last year. A shortlist of agencies participating in the review was not revealed but Groupaction Marketing of Montreal is believed to be one of them. Bates said the print portion of the account is down to a shortlist of two agencies. The review is expected to be complete early next month.
