ENVOY ADDS SPICE TO DEVLIN APPLIED DESIGN

Toronto-based Envoy Communications Group has announced it will acquire Sage Information Consultants Inc., a technology solutions provider, in a deal that could be worth up to $35 million. Sage, which has 75 employees and operates offices in Toronto and New York, will operate in conjunction with Envoy's Devlin Applied Design unit. "This year we committed to a growth strategy that included acquisitions in each of our core areas of business: technology, marketing and branding," Geoff Genovese, president and CEO of Envoy, said in a release. "The addition of Sage to Envoy gives us a leadership position in the world of e-commerce." Clients of Sage include: Hewlett Packard (USA), State Farm (USA), CIBC, IMAX and Panasonic. In addition to Devlin, Envoy's holdings include Communiqué, Fusioncreative, Hampel/Stefanides and The Watt Group.
