MERCEDES REVAMPS E-CLASS

Toronto-based Lowe/SMS launched a campaign this week for Mercedes-Benz Canada's 1996 line of E-Class cars. Using outdoor and print, the campaign focuses on the new look of the car which includes a swept back front and circular headlights. Mercedes is hoping the ads will make the E-Class line of cars as successful as the C-Class line launched in 1993/94. By Christmas last year there was an eight-month back-up on orders. Also, calls to the company's 1-800 number had increased 600% a month after the launch.
