TSSA SPREADING SAFETY MESSAGES ACROSS ONTARIO
By Adnews Staff
The Technical Standards & Safety Authority is sending several messages to Ontario residents this summer as part of the organization's summer safety awareness program. The program is based around the slogan "Putting Public Safety First" and features a TSSA safety team travelling throughout Ontario promoting public safety. The team will be travelling in a Chrysler PT Cruiser and trailer that has been decorated with colorful graphics and the TSSA's logo. Visiting fairs and outdoor events across the province, the team will spread a different message at each event on a different aspect of safety. For example, when the team visits the CNE in August it will focus on ride safety. Sparks Communications of Kitchener, Ontario developed the program's campaign including the slogan, messages, brochures and informational materials. OEB International of Toronto will support the awareness program with public relation activities. The "Putting Public Safety First" program will run through the fall season. A televison campaign is also being considered for the fall but plans have not been confirmed. The TSSA regulates safety in industry sectors such as amusement devices, elevating devices and natural gas and propane fuels and equipment.
