The media planning and buying arm of Cossette Communication Group, Cossette Media, has announced several new appointments, effective immediately. Lauren Richards is appointed vice president and national media director. Richards has been with Cossette Media for 13 years and most recently held the position of vice president and media director, Toronto. In her new role, she assumes leadership for all Cossette Media offices across the country. John Tarantino adds the title vice president, media, Quebec to his responsibilities as vice president, media director, Montreal. His additional responsibilities will include all media offering in Quebec. Cathy Collier is appointed vice president and media director, Toronto. Collier, who has been with Cossette Media for the past nine years, most recently held the title vice president, telecom media. Prior to that she held the role of vice president, associate media director.
Arthur Johnson has a new post after serving as editor of Canadian Business magazine for the past six years. Effective June 19, 2000, Johnson becomes editor of the Financial Post section of the National Post, taking on the day-to-day operations of the newspaper section. Also announced is the appointment of Terence Corcoran as editor-in-chief of the Financial Post section. Corcoran will continue to write his column three days a week as well as edit the editorial pages of the Financial Post.
Vickers & Benson Direct Interactive has promoted Ramona Soligo to production coordinator, Interactive and appointed Amber Colbourne as account supervisor, direct, Marie Boal as production manager, Interactive, Lori Mayer production manager, direct and Carin Fung as account executive, interactive. Soligo has been with V&B for the past four years in several finance positions. Most recently she was accounts payable/billing clerk. Prior to joining VBDI, Colbourne was account manager at Mosaic Direct. Boal comes to the agency from Aquent where she was an agent and Mayer most recently was production manager at DraftWorldwide Canada. Fung joins the team from Euphoria Media Solutions Inc. where she was project manager.
