PARALLEL STRATEGIES EXPANDING
By Adnews Staff
Calgary-based Parallel Strategies Group has announced the addition of three new accounts to its client list within the past three weeks. Aventis CropScience Canada, based in Regina, has consolidated its marketing and communications activities and awarded the business to Parallel's agricultural division Fieldstone Marketing & Communications. The account had previously been handled by five different unnamed agencies. Fieldstone was awarded the account following a review of all five incumbent agencies. Calgary-based 411HomeNet, which offers home buying services to people across North America, has named Parallel its agency-of-record. Parallel will be responsible for communications, creative and media and will be working with the company on its upcoming launch. The City of Calgary has hired Parallel to work on the re-branding of the city and its business units. Parallel will work on a corporate identity program expected to launch in the Fall. The agency was awarded the assignment following a RFP process launched by the City. In response to the new business wins, Parallel will be hiring several new employees over the next few weeks. The agency, which operates offices in Calgary, Vancouver, Whitehorse, Ottawa and North Bay, Ontario, will also be opening a new office in Guelph, Ontario. Kim McConnell, managing partner, Parallel Strategies Group, said initially the new office will service the Aventis business but eventually will service both existing and new clients as well. Parallel is the marketing services subsidiary of Axia NetMedia Corporation.
