RAMADA FLIES WITH BUSINESS CARD PROGRAM
By Adnews Staff
Ramada Franchise Canada has already exceeded its target in a direct response promotion for its business card program, created by Toronto-based Cundari Group Limited. The hotel chain expected a 3% response rate when it launched the promotion Oct. 1. With almost two months left in the campaign it has already exceeded its target. Ramada teamed up with Canadian Airlines International and Hewlett-Packard Canada to entice more members into its business card program. The hotel chain promoted the card with a TV commercial on Canadian Airlines domestic flights which had membership applications tucked in the backs of seats. People who sign up are automatically entered into a draw for a chance to win a Hewlett-Packard Omnibook 600 notebook computer. The Ramada Business Card program offers members things such as free room upgrades, cheque-cashing privileges, later check-out times and free newspapers.
