FIDO OFFERING MORE TALK TIME

Montreal-based Microcell Solutions is offering its Fido customers more time to talk with the introduction of three new pricing options and two new monthly airtime packages. The new options are available beginning Monday and include: unlimited evenings and weekend calling, Canada/U.S. long distance and international long distance calling. The unlimited evenings and weekend calling option is available for $25 a month (in addition to the monthly airtime package). The Canada/U.S. long distance option, which lets customers make up to 200 minutes of long distance calls across North America, is available for $15 per month (in addition to the monthly airtime package) and the international long distance option, available for only $5 a month (in addition to the monthly airtime package), allows Fido customers to make overseas calls for 50% less than the new recently introduced rate. The two new monthly airtime packages are being targeted to Fido's business customers and includes the $70 for 700 minutes package and the $200 for 2,000 minutes package. A national print, transit and television advertising campaign, from Bos Advertising, will support the introduction of the three new add-on options. The campaign runs until mid-July and includes French and English print ads running in major dailies, posters running on transit buses and a 30-second television commercial.
