HENNESSY & BRAY TUNES IN DIGITAL RADIO

Hennessy & Bray Communications of Toronto has been named agency-of-record for Digital Radio Roll-Out, a joint initiative of private and public broadcasters including the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Radio Canada, Chum Limited, Astral Broadcasting, Rogers Broadcasting, Corus Entertainment, WIC Radio and Rawlco Communications. Hennessy & Bray won the account following an agency competition involving an unconfirmed number of agencies. The agency's national marketing assignment will include public, press and industry relations, creative, media planning and buying and Web site management. DRRI is currently preparing for the mid-May roll-out of digital audio broadcasting in the Vancouver market. Digital radio transmission technology has already been introduced in the Toronto, Montreal and Windsor, Ontario markets.
