WATT GROUP PICKED BY WAL-MART FOR DESIGN ASSIGNMENT

The Watt Group of Toronto, part of the Envoy Communications Group, has been awarded a design assignment from U.S.-based retailer Wal-Mart. The assignment is to help Wal-Mart with the international expansion of its Sam's Choice and Great Value brands beginning in the European markets. Wal-Mart based in Bentonville, Arkansas first began working with The Watt Group in 1985 on store design assignments and further extended its relationship in 1993 when the retailer first launched the Sam's Choice and Great Value brands. In addition to developing these brands in Germany and the U.K., the Watt Group will continue to develop the two brands in North America. Annalee Ulsrud, manager, marketing and research, The Watt Group said the assignment will be ongoing. No financial details were disclosed.
