GUINNESS POURING PERFECT PINT

As St. Patrick's Day approaches, Mississauga, Ontario-based Guinness Canada is preparing for the March 17th celebration with the launch of marketing and public relations activities surrounding the theme "One St. Patrick's Day. 364 Practice Days". An advertising campaign, running in Toronto and Montreal, is being supported with public relations activities in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa. Activities include: "Practice sites" at 130 bars and restaurants across the country for Canadians to practice the art of pouring "The Perfect Pint" of Guinness and the return of the Guinness "Picketing Pints". Seven foot tall walking pints will be seen carrying signs and picketing in the streets demanding more St. Patrick's Days each year. Guinness is also welcoming its official spokesperson, Nicola Gordon, to Canada from the Guinness St. James's Gate Brewery in Ireland, for media appearances and interviews. Advertising for Guinness Canada is done by Due North Communications of Toronto. Public relations is handled by Environics Communications, also of Toronto.
