DRAFTWORLDWIDE ENTERS EVEREST GROUP

Global integrated marketing agency DraftWorldwide and Montreal-based Groupe Everest, also an integrated marketing agency, have formed a new partnership. DraftWorldwide is acquiring a number of Groupe Everest's operating divisions. The announcement was made by Claude Boulay, president of Groupe Everest, and Perry Miele, president of DraftWorldwide International Group. Neither Boulay or Miele could be reached before press time to confirm how many or which divisions DraftWorldwide was acquiring but in a release Everest maintained it would retain its advertising, media/sponsorship planning and purchasing operations across Canada. The deal gives DraftWorldwide entry into the Quebec market and allows Everest to accelerate its development both in Canada and internationally, said the release. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Chicago-based DraftWorldwide is a unit of The Interpublic Group of Companies.
