Labatt Breweries has appointed Fred Jaques to the position of senior vice president, business development for Labatt North America. In his new role, Jaques will be responsible for developing North American-wide initiatives as well as integrating the brewery's marketing and sales programs across North America. Jaques joins Labatt from Cereal Kellogg U.S.A. where he held the role of executive vice president and general manager.
Veritas Communication Inc. has made four new additions to its Toronto office this holiday season: Amorell Saunders, Jenny Hewlett, Leigh Wagland and Kathleen Vollrath. Saunders joins the company as director. Most recently Saunders was account supervisor at Langdon Starr Ketchum. Hewlett returns to Toronto and joins VCI as senior consultant. For the past five years Hewlett was with Optimum Public Relations in Vancouver where she held the title of account manager. Wagland joins VCI as a consultant from the Canadian MedicAlert Foundation where she was public relations coordinator, and Vollrath joins the company as a consultant after previously holding the position of senior associate of membership and marketing at BIOTECanada for the past three years. All appointments are effective immediately.
