KODAK CAPTURES PICTURE PERFECT MOMENTS ON CD-ROM

Kodak Canada Inc. of Toronto is giving photographers several new ways to capture their memories. The company has announced a number of new developing options for customers, including having their prints scanned onto a CD-ROM, floppy disk or placed on its new Internet service. Kodak Picture CD was developed by Kodak, Intel and Adobe and allows APS or 35mm pictures to be burned onto a CD-ROM. The CD-ROM gives customers photo imaging software in an easy-to-use format. Alternatively, Kodak Picture Disk can fit up to one roll of pictures on a 3.5 inch floppy disk. Kodak Photonet allows customers to display images to family and friends on the Web. These options are available to customers when film is dropped off for processing by checking a box on the processing envelop. Kodak is promoting the new photo finishing options with a television spot for the Picture CD, Internet banner links and envelop inserts offering a coupon towards their purchase. Advertising for Kodak Canada is done by Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto. PR is handled in-house in conjunction with Hunter LaVigne Communications of Toronto.
