NORTEL NETWORKS COME TOGETHER

Nortel Networks of Toronto is highlighting the company's leadership in Internet and wireless communication services through a global advertising strategy. The theme of the marketing campaign is "coming together" which is promoted using the Beatles song "Come Together". The campaign was created by Temerlin McClain of Dallas, Texas and was launched last week. Phase one of the campaign includes the launch of sixty and 30-second television spots that will initially appear on national network television programs including "Nightline", "20/20", "60 Minutes" "Chicago Hope" and "48 Hours." The spots will feature music from The Beatles album "Abbey Road" and visuals that highlight Nortel's communication technologies. The first phase of the campaign continues through the second quarter. The campaign will continue to build on the "Come Together" theme over the next two years. PR for Nortel is handled by Hill & Knowlton of New York.
