BANK OF MONTREAL MOVES INTO DRTV

The Bank of Montreal is using an infomercial to promote its First Canadian Mutual Funds. The spot features real life situations that viewers are able to identify with. For example, a teacher presents an explanation of her own mutual fund selection process by using a "how many eggs to put in which basket" analogy. The program then cuts to two financial advisors from First Canadian to discuss the teacher's situation and provide investment advice. To give the show an energetic appearance, camera angles are similar to those of the TV show Traders. The program was developed by Channel 500 of Toronto.
