Michael Bowman and Ludmila Palasin have been promoted from marketing managers at Pearson Television of New York to the position of North American marketing and promotions directors. Carol Callahan has moved up from research manager to North American research director for the company. Pearson produces entertainment and serial drama. It has over 150 programs in production in over 30 countries.
The Radio Marketing Bureau has elected its 1998/99 board. The officers are chairman Rick Moss of Blackburn Radio and vice-chairmans Ross Tirrell of Rawlco Communications and Patrick Grierson of Canadian Broadcast Sales. John Harding of the Radio Marketing Bureau will sit in the president's chair and Elmer Hildebrand of Golden West Broadcasting is the treasurer. The Radio Marketing Bureau represents over 80% of the commercial radio stations in Canada. Its goal is to educate advertisers on the effective use of the radio medium to achieve or surpass their advertising objectives.
