EDGE-TECH PROMOTES THE NACK KNIFE

Edge-Tech Canada of Burlington, Ont. is targeting handymen with the launch of its newest tool, The Nack. The product is an automatic blade-changing knife, available in the regular and Nack Pro version. The Nack features a factory-loaded cartridge that locks in 15 double-edged blades. When a blade becomes dull, users simply turn the dial to get a new blade. When all the blades have been used, users replace the cartridge. The Nack is being promoted using national TV ads created by Enterprise Advertising of Toronto. PR is being handled by Hill & Knowlton of Toronto. Edge-Tech is also planning to launch a trade campaign for the product. The Nack is available at such retailers as Wal-Mart Canada, Sears Canada, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, Lansing Buildall, Reno Depot, Revelstoke Home Centres and at the House of Tools. Nack Pro is available only at Home Depot. The Nack is part of the Tim Allen Signature Tool line.
