By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based International Business Machines expanded its line of Aptiva personal computers this week. The computer maker added eight new models to the line including English and French versions. Six the of the machines use IBM's ViaVoice speech recognition software. All of the new Aptiva computers feature a 15-inch monitor. Most of them use Infinity brand speakers with ViaVoice software allowing the PC to type when users talk, and speak clearly. Others also use the Rapid Access Keyboard and ScrollPoint Mouse. In Canada, IBM will promote the new computers using newspaper ads in major dailies and community newspapers. The campaign will be created by Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto. Goodman Communications of Toronto will handle PR.
