ROGERS REVAMPS CELLULAR PRICING

Rogers Cantel of Toronto revised the pricing structure of its analog and digital cellular phone service this week. Under the new structure, the company will offer three price plans, as well as its Pay-As-You-Go plan. The three price plans are Cantel AT&T 100, 150 and 300. Under the Cantel AT&T 100 plan, customers will receive 100 minutes anytime of day for a monthly fee of $25. Under the 150 plan, customers will receive 150 minutes anytime of day for $35 a month. In addition, the first 400 incoming minutes will be free. Under the 300 plan, users will receive 300 minutes of calling anytime of day. In addition, the first 400 incoming minutes will be free. Under the Pay-As-You-Go plan, customers buy the phone and a Rogers prepaid calling card. As the customer uses the phone, the minutes uses will be added up on the calling card until they are finished. The customer then purchases another card. Rogers will promote the new pricing structure using radio ads created by Gee, Jeffery & Partners Advertising of Toronto. Groupaction of Montreal handles French-language advertising. In addition, the agency has developed an in-store ad to be used by individual dealers.
