By Adnews Staff
IBM Canada of Markham, Ont. has made further inroads into the education marketplace. The computer maker has signed an agreement with International Business Schools to bring its Thinkpad notebook computer into the schools. Under the deal, all students and faculty members will be given a Thinkpad notebook. In addition, classrooms, residence halls, faculty offices and other buildings will be wired for online use. The program will launch in September as a pilot project at a Toronto IBS campus. Shortly after, it will be rolled out to campuses in Victoria, Calgary and Sydney, Nova Scotia.
