Pilar Galiana has joined Lasso Communications of Toronto as business manager for the company's Advanced Career Technologies division. Most recently she was strategic development and planning project manager at Royal Trust Investment Counsel Inc. Robert Sandler is now at Lasso as general manager in the firm's Advanced Career Technologies division. Previously he was manager at Visible Genetics. Mike Dougherty has been promoted from media group head to vice-president and associate media director at Young & Rubicam of Toronto. Todd Ochsner has moved from Y&R's Vancouver office, where he was account director, to the agency's Toronto office, where he will be national account director. Ochsner will work on such accounts as the national Ford Mercury Dealer Association and the Toronto Ford Mercury Dealer Association. Rosanna Cavallaro has joined Rogers Cantel as marketing communications vice-president. Formerly she was marketing communications director at Bell Mobility. Cavallaro has also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, DMB&B, Bethel Advertising and Vickers & Benson Advertising.
