EPSON GOES MEGA
By Adnews Staff
U.S.-based Epson Inc. introduced a new digital camera to the North American market earlier this month that the company is touting as a megapixel camera. Called the PhotoPC 700, the camera offers a 1280 X 960 pixel image resolution. Other features include: several picture modes including full size, panoramic and close-up, as well as continuous shoot which allows users to capture two 640 X 480 pixel images per second, up to a maximum of 10 images. In addition, users can hook up the camera to an Epson inkjet printer to print an image straight from the camera. The PhotoPC 700 comes with 4MB of internal memory which enables users to capture up to 50 standard, 15 fine or 7 super fine resolution images. In Canada, the camera will be promoted using print ads in trade publications. The ads will be created by DDB Needham Worldwide's California office. Epson's Canadian office will handle the media planning and buying in-house.
