PIZZA HUT BRINGS BACK ELVIS

The rumors are true. Elvis is alive and well, but most don't know he is working at Pizza Hut in Canada. The King is promoting Pizza Hut's The Edge pizza in a national TV campaign that began this week. The premise of the ad is that The Edge pizza is so good that even Elvis would come back for it. The commercials use excerpts of Elvis from his 1965 movies, Girls, Girls, Girls and Blue Hawaii, superimposed on footage shot in a Pizza Hut restaurant. The spot was created by BBDO Worldwide of New York, while the agency's Toronto office localized the ads and did the Canadian media buy. This is the second phase of Pizza Hut Canada's campaign for its The Edge pizza. It began promoting the product six weeks ago using radio ads. The Edge pizza uses toppings that are placed all the way to the outer edge of the pizza and features three recipes: The Works, Meaty and Veggie.
