COMPAQ UNVEILS NEW NOTEBOOK WITH PENTIUM II TECHNOLOGY

Compaq Computer Corp. of Houston introduced a new notebook computer to the worldwide market that uses Intel Corp.'s Pentium II processor. Called the Armada 7800, the machine is geared to businesses who need speed and powerful graphics. The Armada 7800 features an accelerated graphics port for better video and graphics performance, as well as DriveLock security for higher data storage capacity and protection against data theft. In addition, the computer has a 13.3-inch color screen, a 20X Max CD-ROM and a five gigabyte hard drive. In Canada, the Armada 7800 will be promoted using ads in business magazines and daily newspapers. The ads will be created by Ammirati & Puris/Lintas of Toronto.
