GO FOR GREEN SEEKS FUNDS AND RECOGNITION
By Adnews Staff
Go For Green of Toronto will launch a national campaign by March to encourage corporations to donate to the charitable organization. The campaign will use print, radio and TV ads created by Campaign House Worldwide of Toronto. Go For Green is a charitable organization that address the crisis of the environment and personal health. Its activities include seed funding and river clean-ups. Until now, the group was funded by Health Canada, but its funding has been cut. To keep Go For Green going, the organization is hoping to raise money through corporate donations. It will need about $500,000 to continue operating for another year. The ad campaign was also launched to raise awareness of the organization. Campaign House won the business last November after Go For Green spoke with about 10 companies including PR and fundraising agencies. The organization spoke to different types of agencies because it wasn't sure what route it wanted to take, Campaign House account director Graham Newbigging told Adnews yesterday. Go For Green decided to use an ad agency because the organization wanted to revamp its image and fundraising agencies only addressed one concern.
