Vancouver-based WIC Western International Communications reported its strongest results ever for the quarter ending Nov. 30, 1997. Revenues for the quarter jumped 24% to $160 million. The increase was lead by the Broadcasting Group, which saw revenue grow 20% from $106 million to $127 million. The Delivery Group also had strong gains, with revenues jumping 47% to $33 million. This compares to $22 million last year. Net income for the quarter rose to $17.5 million, compared to $8.3 million during the same quarter a year earlier. WIC bought a 70% stake in CFCF TV last September. Last November, the company sold its interest in the CTV Television Network for $28 million.
