MARKETING COMMUNICATION QUARTERS ITSELF

Marketing Communication Inc., based in London, Ontario, has split itself into four companies under the umbrella name of the MC Group of Companies. The new structure will see each company concentrate on a specific area of expertise. Marketing Communication Inc. will provide general advertising, sales promotion and PR services. MC Direct, operating from its Toronto office, will continue to handle direct marketing for clients including ConsumersFirst, Bell South, Bell Atlantic, Nortel USA, Sprint USA and BC Tel. MC HealthCare will focus on marketing services for that industry, including assigments for Hoffmann-La Roche and Bayer. Finally, MC Retail Group will work to enhance retail performance for clients including Telus, MTS and Bell Atlantic Mobility. "This arrangement is a move to more adequately facilitate recent account acquisitions and accomodate future growth," said MC Group president and CEO John Besterd. "With this new organization, we are strategically positioned to meet the requirements of our expanding client base."
