TELEMEDIA CHIEF RECEIVES GOLD RIBBON AWARD

Telemedia Inc. chairman Philippe de Gaspe Beaubien has been awarded the 1997 Gold Ribbon Award for Broadcast Excellence. The award recognizes outstanding service to Canadian private broadcasting, exceptional human qualities and practical, innovative achievements. de Gaspe Beaubien is former chairman of the Canadian Association of Broadcasters, which sponsors the award. He is also founder and chairman of the Institute for Family Enterprise. His other honors include the Order of Canada and the Canadian Centennial Medal.
