By Adnews Staff
Ottawa-based Corel Corp. is introducing its CorelDraw 6 graphic software package to the North American market at the end of the month. The 32-bit package can be used for illustration, photo editing, painting, multimedia presentations and animation. Magazine advertising for the the new software, starting in September issues, was created in-house. Corel says its revenues could increase by up to 60% because of the software, which is also being helped by the launch of Microsoft Corp.'s new Windows 95 operating system hitting the market Aug. 24. Corel was founded in 1985, and has more than 90% of the Window-based graphics market in the U.S. It is the largest software developer in Canada, and ranks in the top three for retail sales worldwide.
