MUTUAL LIFE PERSONALIZES HEALTH INSURANCE

Waterloo, Ont.-based Mutual Life of Canada introduced personalized health insurance last week. For people under the age of 65, there are four options in the plan to choose from: option one covers basic drugs, supplementary healthcare and vision. The second choice includes basic dental, supplementary healthcare and vision. Option three features basic drugs, basic dental, supplementary health care and vision. The fourth choice covers enhanced drugs, enhanced dental, supplementary healthcare and vision. Under each plan, consumers can add out-of-country medical and/or semi-private hospital coverage. Coverage options for people over 65 are similar to the other packages but all automatically have out-of-country travel insurance. Consumers have the option to add semi-private hospital coverage to the plan they choose. The insurance will be promoted using a brochure and magazine ads created by Deuce Design Inc. of Kitchener, Ont.
