BUSINESS MAGAZINE PUTS TOP 1,OOO COMPANIES ON-LINE

Report on Business magazine released an Internet version of its Top 1,000 Power Book magazine last week for the first time. Users can view Canada's top corporate performers on-line and can also download the database of the companies, which will feature added content and functionality. The Web site address of the publication is . ROB magazine Top 1,000 selects the top Canadian 1000 companies by assets, and ranks them according to profits. It also highlights the most powerful CEOs, the best-paid CEOs, the biggest employers, the fastest growing companies, the best performing stocks, the top exporters and the top research and development spending. It also carries information on the biggest private companies, crown corporations and public utilities. The database download features additional, unpublished information including head office city, province, postal code, phone number, CEO name and stock symbol. The download also has all the information included in the hard copy of the magazine.
