HOOVER TO BRING MORE VACUUMS TO THE MARKET

Maytag Corp.'s Hoover division will add two vacuums to its line-up in North America. Called the Hoover WindTunnel and the SteamVac Ultra Deep Cleaner, the machines will be available in the third quarter of the year. The WindTunnel upright vacuum channels direct particles away from the spinning agitator into the cleaner. Many cleaners scatter much of the airborne dirt particles back onto the carpet. The SteamVac is a high-end machine in Hoover's extractor line of vacuums. U.S. advertising for the machines will begin in the summer using TV and print created by Euro RSCG Tatham of Chicago. In Canada, advertising plans are yet to be confirmed. The campaign will be created by Euro RSCG, while media buying will be done by Genesis Media of Toronto.
