COMPAQ LAUNCHES DIRECT MAIL CAMPAIGNS
By Adnews Staff
Compaq Canada has launched a series of targeted direct mail campaigns for its computers. The first initiative, which began yesterday, is aimed at the educational sector. The corporate campaign uses postcards carrying headlines such as "Saving Money 101," and "Special Ed pricing," to urge educators to buy Compaq products. The second campaign, kicking off later this week, will target the public sector with personalized letters, service and support inserts and questionnaires. The final mailing, starting next week, is going out to owners of registered Microsoft products, the financial industry and the public sector. Touting Compaq's professional workstation products, the campaign includes a personalized letter and a brochure/questionnaire. Mosaic Direct of Toronto is handling the campaigns, which will launch nationally in English and French.
