PC PARTY THROWS ALL THE PUNCHES AT LIBERALS

The Federal Progressive Conservative party is focusing on the broken promises of the Liberal party in its latest campaign. Launched in Ontario last week, the campaign uses billboards, transit shelters and street advertising to tell Canadians that the Liberal party hasn't created jobs as it said it would, nor did it abolish the Goods and Services Tax as it promised. Using Prime Minister Jean Cretien's own words and recent Statistics Canada figures, the campaign tells Ontarians that more people are unemployed today than when the Liberals took office. The Prime Minister's response to a question in a CBC television forum is also featured. He said, "Governments don't create jobs. Some are lucky. Some are unlucky. That's life. You can always move." The ads were created in-house by the PC party.
