XEROX DOUBLES PRINTING POTENTIAL
By Adnews Staff
This week, Toronto-based Xerox Canada Ltd. launched a printer that allows users to print on both sides of a sheet of paper. Called the DocuPrint 4512 Network Laser Printer, the desktop unit prints at a 12-page-per-minute clip and includes a second paper tray at no additional cost. A second version of the new printer, the 4512N, includes Ethernet networking capability. Both models offer 600 x 600 dots-per-inch resolution and contain four megabytes of RAM, upgradeable to 50 megabytes. Both printers are available from resellers, dealers and distributors across the country. Jeff Smith, Xerox Canada's director of marketing, said no new advertising is planned to support the printers' release. Toronto-based Environics Communications Inc. is handling PR for the 4512's launch.
