CAB EXPANDS SERVICES

The Canadian Association of Broadcasters has expanded its membership base to include the specialty channel operations of its member organizations. Nordicity Group senior consultant Glenn Stuart has been retained as specialty television senior advisor for the initial organizational period. A full-time executive will eventually take over. Conventional stations and specialty channels share such interests and concerns as copyright, technology, television violence and the need for ongoing consultations with the government and the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission. CAB represents the majority of private broadcasters including radio and television stations and specialty services.
