Lobster PEI resumes Lobster Roll Call promotion

Lobster PEI has resumed a promotion called the “PEI Lobster Roll Call” for a second year. The promotion will take place in association with participating restaurants in southern Ontario, each of which will offer its own version of a lobster roll. The effort also includes a contest element in collaboration with magazine Toronto Life and featuring chef Charlotte Langley. Consumers can vote for their favourite lobster roll offered during the promotion on the Toronto Life website. The grand prize winner will receive a three-day trip to Prince Edward Island, including airfare and accommodations, $200 in Canada's Food Island gift cards and other prizes. The promotion will run until Sept. 27. Lobster PEI is an organization that works to promote the consumption of the province’s lobsters.
“Our goal last year was to bring a taste of PEI to Ontario through sharing PEI's premium quality lobster with residents and supporting the foodservice sector in its recovery,” said Charlie McGeoghegan, board chair of the Lobster Fishers of Prince Edward Island. “With the success of last year's contest we're excited to bring it back again this year. Our island fishers are proud to harvest the best quality lobster in the world that comes from a MSC certified sustainable fishery.”
