Public Safety Canada conducts human trafficking campaign

Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada has begun a promotion intended to raise awareness of the issue of human traafficking. The promotion takes the form of an installation in downtown Toronto to coincide with World Day Against Trafficking in Persons on July 30. The campaign is intended to “challenge public misperceptions” about human trafficking and how it operates. The installation will be at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto from July 30 to Aug. 2. It will then move to Ottawa and London, ON.
