Statistics Canada suspends in-person surveys

Statistics Canada of Ottawa has announced that, in response to concerns regarding COVID-19, it will suspend conducting in-person surveys until further notice. The organization will continue to conduct surveys for various programs by telephone and online. These programs include the Consumer Price Index, Business Payrolls Survey, Labour Force Survey, Monthly Wholesale Trade Survey, Monthly Retail Trade Survey, Monthly Survey of Manufacturing, Quarterly Survey of Financial Statements, Industrial Product Price Index, Raw Materials Price Index and Balance of International Payments, among others.
