Datonics expands into Canada

New York-based online data aggregation company Datonics has expanded its operations into Canada with the opening of an office in Toronto. The Canadian operation will be headed by general manager Rodney Perry, previously managing partner at Oracle and general manager of Oracle Data Cloud Canada. Prior to that, he was president of the M Platform division of GroupM and managing director for Canada at Xaxis. He has also operated his own consulting firm.

Datonics offers approximately 1,200 pre-packaged demographic segments as well as custom segments. The Canadian office will focus on acquiring audience data through agreement with publishers and advertising technology firms. Datonics is a subsidiary of AlmondNet.

“I am thrilled to be joining Datonics and embarking on this growth journey with the company,” said Rodney. “Canadian advertisers continue to look for audience data and identity resolution to increase the effectiveness of their advertising dollars. There is a tremendous opportunity throughout Canada, and Datonics is poised to be a leader in this market.”
