MACHINE COMPANY HIRES FIRST AGENCY
By Adnews Staff
Machine tool distributor Upton Bradeen & James of Mississauga, Ont. is using an agency for the first time to increase its market share. The company hired Laeschke Consulting Canada of Toronto, after a competition with two other agencies, to handle its communications needs. Upton used to handle its advertising in-house, but decided to hire an agency because there is more competition in the market. Upton also wants to establish an image in Canada and it wants to expand in the U.S., agency president Bernd Laeschke told Adnews this week. Laeschke is creating a brochure for Upton which will be available in September. Upton specializes in metal working and forming and fabricating machinery.
